disdroc on Windows, Linux and Android

Web: open disdroc.com/app. Nothing to install. Voice, video and screen sharing depend on your browser's support and permissions.
Windows: an installer. disdroc sits in your taskbar and uses native notifications.
Android: an APK with a real incoming-call screen.
Linux: a portable AppImage.

All of them use the same account. Links are on the download page.

How the apps work

The desktop and Android apps load the same disdroc web app from disdroc.com. That has a big upside for a project run by one person: most changes reach every platform at the same moment, without you reinstalling anything.

It also has a cost, and the trust page says it plainly: installing an app does not remove the need to trust the server, because the server delivers the code the app runs.

Windows

Run the installer. To get a newer version of the app itself, use Check for updates inside the app.

Android

The APK comes from the download page, not from the Play Store. Your phone will ask you to allow installs from your browser, and Play Protect may warn about an unknown developer. That is normal for apps outside the Play Store.

What the app adds over a phone browser:

Full-screen incoming calls, like a phone call. The app asks for the "Display over other apps" permission to do this.
Screen sharing. Phone browsers cannot share your screen; the app can.
The back button steps back through menus and settings instead of closing the app.
A home-screen icon, and opening files and invite links in the app.

Linux

Make the AppImage executable with chmod +x and run it. Depending on your system, you may need some extra system libraries.

No macOS app right now

There is no macOS build at the moment. The web version works in a browser on a Mac.

Uygulamalar nasıl çalışıyor

Masaüstü ve Android uygulamaları aynı disdroc web uygulamasını disdroc.com'dan yükler. Tek kişinin yürüttüğü bir proje için bunun büyük bir artısı var: değişikliklerin çoğu, sen hiçbir şeyi yeniden kurmadan, her platforma aynı anda ulaşır.

Bir bedeli de var ve güven sayfası bunu açıkça söylüyor: bir uygulama kurmak sunucuya güvenme ihtiyacını ortadan kaldırmaz, çünkü uygulamanın çalıştırdığı kodu sunucu gönderir.

Windows

Kurulum dosyasını çalıştır. Uygulamanın kendisinin yeni bir sürümünü almak için uygulama içindeki güncelleme denetimini (Check for updates) kullan.

Android

APK, Play Store'dan değil indirme sayfasından geliyor. Telefonun tarayıcından yükleme yapılmasına izin vermeni isteyecek ve Play Protect bilinmeyen bir geliştirici hakkında uyarabilir. Play Store dışındaki uygulamalar için bu normal.

Uygulamanın telefon tarayıcısına göre ekledikleri:

Tam ekran gelen aramalar, tıpkı bir telefon araması gibi. Bunun için uygulama "Diğer uygulamaların üzerinde göster" iznini ister.
Ekran paylaşımı. Telefon tarayıcıları ekranını paylaşamaz, uygulama paylaşabilir.
Geri tuşu uygulamayı kapatmak yerine menülerde ve ayarlarda bir adım geri gider.
Ana ekran simgesi ve dosyalarla davet bağlantılarının uygulamada açılması.

Linux

AppImage dosyasını chmod +x ile çalıştırılabilir yap ve çalıştır. Sistemine göre bazı ek sistem kütüphaneleri gerekebilir.

Şimdilik macOS uygulaması yok

Şu anda bir macOS sürümü yok. Mac'te web sürümü tarayıcıda çalışıyor.
